The Law Office of Viviana Medina started as a home-based office in Westbury, New York. In 2012, it moved to the Sunshine State, first to the Hialeah/Miami Lakes area, and subsequently to its current location in Hollywood, Florida. It has been providing quality U.S. immigration and tax law services for almost a decade, striving to offer the most professional and personalized service to its clients. Ms. Medina and her staff truly care about each and every client, and go above and beyond to help clients obtain the best possible results in their cases. The office currently handles cases nationwide and also takes clients residing outside the United States interested in legally immigrating to this great country.
La Oficina Legal de Viviana Medina comenzó como en el hogar de su fundadora en Westbury, Nueva York. En el 2012, se mudó al Estado del Sol, primero al area de Hialeah/Miami Lakes, y posteriormente a su ubicación actual en Hollywood, Florida. Ha estado proveyendo servicios de calidad en las áreas de derecho migratorio y fiscal de los Estados Unidos durante casi una década, esmerandose en ofrecer atención profesional y personalizada a sus clientes. La Licda. Viviana E. Medina, Attorney at Law
Viviana Medina was born and raised in the Dominican Republic, graduating Summa Cum Laude from the prestigious Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra in 2001. She started her career in her home country, in the areas of civil and business law. In 2003, she relocated to the United States, specifically in New York City, and later on in Long Island, going through all the difficulties related to her condition as an immigrant. In 2005, she was able to start working in her professional area, working for law firms specialized in immigration law, task that she chose as her career and life mission, finding in this noble occupation a great way to serve her community. Upon completing her credential validation process in the State of Louisiana, The Law Office of Viviana Medina was born, allowing Ms. Medina to proudly serve the immigrant community nationwide, reaching clients even outside the United States. The office operates from the City of Hollywood, Florida, state where Ms. Medina now resides with her husband and her two children. Ms. Medina is qualified to represent clients before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Executive Office for Immigration Review (Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals), the Internal Revenue Service and the United States Tax Court. Ms. Medina is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association, and the Hispanic National Bar Association. In her spare time, Ms. Medina enjoys going to the theater, reading, watching movies, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Viviana Medina nació y creció en la República Dominicana, graduándose Summa Cum Laude en el año 2001 de la Facultad de Derecho de la prestigiosa Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra. Sus pininos en el campo legal fueron en las áreas de derecho civil y comercial en su país natal. En el año 2003, hace de los Estados Unidos su nuevo hogar, específicamente en la ciudad de Nueva York y posteriormente en Long Island, atravesando todas las vicisitudes propias de su condición de inmigrante. En el 2005 logra insertarse en su área profesional, trabajando para oficinas de abogados especialistas en leyes de inmigración, tarea que escogió como su carrera y misión de vida, encontrando en esta noble ocupación una forma de servir a su comunidad. Al completar el proceso de validación de sus credenciales profesionales en el Estado de Louisiana, nace The Law Office of Viviana Medina (La Oficina Legal de Viviana Medina), a través de la cual ha podido servir orgullosamente a la comunidad inmigrante alrededor de los Estados Unidos, alcanzando incluso clientes en el extranjero. La oficina actualmente opera desde la ciudad de Hollywood, Florida, mismo estado en que reside la Licda. Medina, junto a su esposo y sus dos hijos.
La Licda. Medina está calificada para representar clientes ante el Servicio de inmigración y Ciudadanía de los Estados Unidos, la Corte de Inmigración, la Junta de Apelaciones de Inmigración, el Servicio de Rentas Internas (IRS) y la Corte de Impuestos de los Estados Unidos. Isidro “Rob” Rueda – Attorney at Law
Isidro was born in Nicaragua. He attained Bachelor of Arts degrees from Southern Connecticut State University in Economics, Computer Science and Business Administration, he also attained a Master of Arts degree in History. Mr. Rueda worked in the Information Technologies field for over twenty years before becoming an attorney. Mr. Rueda graduated from Quinnipiac University School of Law. He was admitted to practice law in Connecticut, New York and United States District Court of Connecticut. Mr. Rueda had his own law practice in Connecticut for over nineteen years, he is fluent in English and Spanish. In addition, he served in the United States Marines Corps.

Isidro nació en Nicaragua. Obtuvo títulos de licenciatura de la Universidad Estatal del Sur de Connecticut Economía, Ciencias de la Computación y Administración de Empresas, también obtuvo una Maestría en Historia. El Sr. Rueda trabajó en el campo de las Tecnologías de la Información durante más de veinte años antes de convertirse en abogado. David Rodriguez, Attorney at Law
David Rodriguez is a graduate of the City University of New York, Lehman College, with a B.A. in Political Science and English Literature. Mr. Rodriguez obtained a J.D. from New York Law School and is admitted to practice in NY. While in law school, Mr. Rodriguez worked with the Court Advocate Project, where he assisted victims of domestic violence in court proceedings; the Criminal Justice Seminar, in conjunction with a local District Attorney’s Office; and was awarded the highest scoring advocate at the NYLS Intramural Trial Competition. Prior to law school, Mr. Rodriguez worked in law enforcement and conducted investigations on the local, state and federal level that included homicide, money laundering and international narcotics cases. After law school, he worked as a Prosecuting Attorney for the NYC Taxi & Limousine Commission and an Immigration Attorney representing families and children facing deportation before the United States Immigration Court. Mr. Rodriguez has always devoted much of his time to assisting those who are less fortunate. Throughout his career, working cases on behalf of immigrants, developmentally delayed children, child abuse and domestic violence victims, has shaped his course of service to others. He also currently volunteers with the Cristian Rivera Foundation, working to find a cure for DIPG, a rare fatal brain tumor in young children. Mr. Rodriguez is fluent in Spanish, was born and raised in the Bronx and now resides in Westchester County.

David Rodríguez es graduado de la Universidad de la Ciudad de Nueva York, Lehman College, con una licenciatura en Ciencias Políticas y Literatura Inglesa. Antes de asistir a la facultad de leyes, el Sr. Rodríguez trabajó en la policía y condujo investigaciones a nivel local, estatal y federal que incluyen homicidio, lavado de dinero y casos internacionales de narcóticos. Luego de graduarse de leyes, trabajo como fiscal para la Comisión de Taxi & Limousine de la Ciudad de Nueva York y como abogado de inmigración representando familias y niños que enfrentan deportación ante la Corte de Inmigración. El Sr. Rodríguez siempre ha dedicado mucho de su tiempo a ayudar a los menos afortunados. A lo largo de su Carrera, el trabajar a favor de los inmigrantes, niños con problemas de desarrollo, y víctimas de abuso infantil y de violencia doméstica, le ha dado forma a su curso de servicio a otros. Oscar E. Evo, Office Manager
Native of Honduras, Oscar Evo arrived in the United States during his early adolescence, residing at Queens and later at Long Island, New York. After successfully spending almost two decades as a business owner in the transportation industry, he relocated to the State of Florida, where he now lives with his wife and two children. He’s engaged in several businesses and, since 2015, works concurrently as office manager for the Law Office of Viviana Medina, being in charge of the office’s finances and administration. Additionally, Oscar is a notary public in the State of Florida, authorized to notarize documents and perform marriage ceremonies. In his spare time, Oscar likes to watch movies and travel.

Stephany R. Medina, Senior Paralegal
Stephany Medina is the supervisor paralegal at the Law Office of Viviana Medina, LLC. Stephany was born in the Dominican Republic. She immigrated to the United States with her family when she was 16 years old. She earned her bachelor’s degree with honors in Business Administration from Turabo University in Puerto Rico. In addition to her professional career, she is a Public Notary in the State of Florida and is fluent in Spanish. She is currently studying toward achieving her Juris Doctor.
Stephany has 5 years of experience working in the immigration field. She is familiar with both affirmative and defensive cases, but she is currently in charge of cases before the Immigration Court. In her free time, Stephany enjoys serving at her community.

Nancy Carolina Colom, Paralegal
Born in Peru, Carolina, as she prefers to be called, has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Lima, Peru, and a certificate in paralegal studies from the University of Miami. She joined the Law Office of Viviana Medina in 2014 as a paralegal, being in charge of affirmative cases, such as family-based petitions, citizenship applications, inadmissibility waivers, work permit applications, asylum applications, and more. She is a Notary Public in the State of Florida. Carolina’s hobbies include running, kickboxing, reading, and watching movies.

Jalisha Gordon is an administrative assistant and translator at our Kissimmee location. She is currently a student at Valencia College. She is a sweet and brilliant young woman who loves reading and traveling. She is fluent in both English and Spanish and her goal is to help people get to where they hope to be.
